2012 Events and Presentation
Tuesday May 8th 2012 "The Effective Leader" Presented by Steve Meisenheimer
The audience experiences how taking the five steps of effective leadership will immediately change their perspective of what their company is capable of offering them, and by doing so, will rapidly increase their level of power and control over their companies' results. In the process, business owners become business leaders and are able to get their companies to perform at a level previously only hoped for.
CORE CONCEPT
Where most presenters dwell on what leadership is or what a leader must be, this presentation introduces exactly what a leader must do. Knowing what to do is what qualifies a leader to lead. Even a leader who is new to a company can quickly determine what to do and how to get it done with speed and confidence.
OUTCOMES FOR THE AUDIENCE
By executing the five steps of effective leadership, the audience learns how to get their companies to actually deliver what they started them to have: increased control, freedom, and lifestyle. The five steps are:
1. Get strategic and get organized.
2. Manage by the numbers
3. Get out of "the field".
4. Validate the business model.
5. Do it fast (because slow kills!).
Steve Meisenheimer started his business career at age 16 going door-to-door to offer tree trimming services near his north Phoenix neighborhood. Steve built that business into a multi-million dollar entity, and the state's largest tree trimming company, 12 years later. That experience created in him a passion for business.
Steve started or acquired, and eventually sold, nine companies over the next 10 years. Like most business leaders, Steve learned most of his skills through trial and error. This was slow, painful, and a very risky way to learn when the futures and fortune of his employees, investors, and many others counted on his results. In 2005, Steve started he Effective Leader Program, which trains business owners to take control of their companies so they are not controlled by them. He is an acclaimed speaker and author of three books, and is passionate about helping others win in the great game of business.
Tuesday April 10th 2012"Tailor Your Marketing to Your Personality Strengths: Using the Myers-Briggs Test to Choose Marketing You'll Like"
Everyone must market, and this is most true for us as entrepreneurs. The trick with marketing is to be two things: effective (challenging but do-able), and consistent (often much harder). Christy will talk about personality types as measured by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (take the free test here before you come to the meeting: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm), and how you can use your personality strengths to choose the right marketing for you. When you use your personality strengths in your marketing, you?ll enjoy doing it. And the marketing you like, is the marketing you?ll do, is the marketing that sells.
REMINDER: take the FREE Myers-Briggs test before you come to the meeting, which will help you benefit from the information Christy will discuss. The test is available here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm, and takes about 10 minutes.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Christy Strauch, a certified business coach, has worked with hundreds of small business owners who love their work, but don?t enjoy, or sometimes understand, the business side of their businesses. She has written two books:
"Passion, Plan, Profit: 12 Simple Steps to Turn Your Passion into a Solid Business", a business plan book to help right-brained creative types create a business plan they?ll actually use, and
"Your Marketing Personality: Marketing You Like is Marketing that Sells", which applies the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to 30 different kinds of marketing. Your Marketing Personality helps people choose marketing that plays to their personality strengths, so they?ll actually enjoy doing it.
